They don’t teach you this stuff in school…

We recently had a group of students from the Art Institute of Colorado visit Foils + Dies to get a “feel” for letterpress.  Professor Ed Popovitz and his digital pre-press class joined us in the studio for a lesson in what it’s like to take a project from concept to production.  We had a chance to show off some of our favorite projects and review a job we had on press.

Introducing students and designers to letterpress is always one of our favorite things to do, because we love what we do.  We hope they all enjoyed the experience and look forward to seeing some of their work run through the presses soon!

I was thrilled when I found out we were doing a tour at Foils and Dies. Rob was SO enthusiastic about his work. He took time to answer all of our questions. He was very encouraging yet, refreshingly honest. His positive energy is contagious. I think the whole class walked out of feeling inspired!
